Embossing: Cascade / Beer.
Type: Advertising Dispenser
Variety: Small wooden advertising barrel.
Era: 1960s-1970s?
Height: 109 mm
Condition: Near Mint. Comes with the original wooden lid. There is some grime and a few odd stains to be found. A few small knock marks, essentially there is very little wrong with this, even the delicate little tap is in great condition. Lettering appears to be an applied sticker. This is an original piece of advertising from a later period, possibly 1960s or 1970s.

Embossing: Fine Old / Sandersons / Scotch.
Type: Advertising Dispenser
Variety: Ornate bulbous back bar dispenser on a stem and pedestal with tap. Etched writing with remnants of gold plating remaining. The lid itself is very ornate, is about 225 mm high alone.
Era: 1900s
Height: 500 mm, plus 225 mm for lid
Condition: Near Mint. The sheer size of this piece is amazing! There are a few minor flaked areas on the inner rim, the outer rim has a few sections where it has obviously had some minor grinding done to conceal some of the flakes, this may have been done when the piece was made? There is a fine layer of dirt and grime which will clean off. Only about 50% of the lettering has the gold leaf remaining. The tap and cork sit very nicely within the tap hole, not sure if this is original, but it looks good to me. There is a possible flake to the lower part where the tap goes in. There is some flaking to the rear of this tap hole from manufacture. There is some minor flaking around the base where the piece stands on the table, which is to be expected. A few scratches throughout. The lid is very ornate, it stands 225 mm by itself! It is a bit dusty, but looks to be in great condition otherwise. Approximately one third of the original gasket is missing. The very lower part of the lid has a few chips, one larger one over 2 cm, but shallow, there are some other small flake type marks, to be expected from a piece where glass contacts glass frequently. Once the dirt and grime is washed off, this will be an absolutely stunning piece that would be the pride of place in any collection or on any bar!

Embossing: Sandeman & Sons Ltd. / Edinburgh / Scotch Whisky / Established 1760. Fine and small 822 etched to rear shoulder. Polished pontil to base.
Type: Advertising Dispenser
Variety: Back bar dispenser. Barrel shape, etched writing. Clear glass.
Era: 1900s
Height: 325 mm
Condition: Excellent. Has a slightly hazy appearance, this could well be dust that needs cleaning off? Comes with a tap that fits loosely as the cork has shrunk. Some usage wear under the base in the form of scratches where it would sit on the table. Some scratches can be found around the large expanse of glass, most evident to the rear. Some grime around the tap hole. This comes with the original lid, the inside of the top is ground where the lid sits perfectly. The lid has some minor flaking on the inner edge around a third of it, this does not detract in any way. A very nice piece of advertising that would look great on a bar!

Condition: Excellent. Top left corner has rusted. Two apparent bullet holes on the right hand side where the enamel has flakes off, some minor flaking of enamel around some of the mounting holes. Generally, this superb and rare enamel sign is in supreme condition, the main fault being the bullet hole on the top of the Y does not really detract.

Embossing: (Rooster) / Courage / Crest / Lager.
Type: Advertising Mirror
Variety: Approximately 64.5 cm high x 41.5 cm wide.
Era: 1970s
Height: 645 x 415 mm
Condition: Very Good. Possibly could be excellent as there is not much wrong with this. The print is on the glass as opposed to under the glass, and so has some scratching and marks to it. In fact, this is not glass at all, rather it is a fine silver coloured piece of plastic or maybe a thin sheet of aluminium? There are some scratches and scuff marks on this section as well. Although it does reflect, it is not the best mirror we have seen in that aspect. The British based Courage Brewery attempted to break into the Australian market by building a factory in Broadmeadows in 1966, ultimately it failed and the Sydney brewer, Tooth & Co bought them out in 1978. In their short time, Courage were actively advertising their product via numerous means, this mirror, however, is the first of this form of advertisement that we have seen.

Embossing: Ballarat / (Phoenix holding flag) / Trade / Mark / Brewed & Bottled by The Ballarat Brewing Co Ltd Ballarat Australia / (Phoenix holding flag) / Trade / Mark / Light Bitter.
Type: Advertising Mirror
Variety: Approximately 86.5 cm high, 56 cm wide.
Era: 1970s
Height: 865 x 560 mm
Condition: Near Mint. This superb mirror was made in the 1970s. We believe that this is a very rare piece. The frame has been drilled top and bottom for mounting purposes. There are some other knocks and marks, but overall it is a very solid frame. Some of the printed lettering has deteriorated slightly with some minor bubbling and peeling on the underglass design. This is a superb mirror which is a must for any collector of breweriana. Being a relatively large and fragile piece, we would prefer local pick up, otherwise we would suggest employing the services of Pack and Send as opposed to risking Australia Post with this piece.

Embossing: Harp Brand / Special / Old Irish / Whisky.
Type: Advertising Mirror
Variety: Approximately 97.5 cm high, 51.5 cm wide.
Era: 1900s
Height: 975 x 515 mm
Condition: Excellent. This original mirror is from the early 1900s. It has the original frame with two mounting hooks at the top. The frame is in great condition. The mirror is generally in extremely good condition, there are a few spots here and there that have discoloured on the mirrored backing, some minor discolouration to some of the lettering, and some flaking and peeling to the mirrored finish along the base of the mirror across about two thirds of the width from the right. A few other minor flakes to the backing can be seen here and there. Harp Brand Old Irish Whisky was made by Young King & Co Ltd Distillers, Belfast and was imported into Melbourne by the wholesale agents Hogan, Mooney and Co of 283-285 Elizabeth Street from at least 1896 through to at least 1902. Being a relatively large and fragile piece, we would prefer local pick up, otherwise we would suggest employing the services of Pack and Send as opposed to risking Australia Post with this piece.

Embossing: (Phoenix) / Phoenix / Assurance.
Type: Advertising Paperweight
Variety: Solid brass. Quite heavy, has two Phillips head screws in the base under a piece of felt. Probably screwed to something?
Era: 1940s
Height: 65 mm
Condition: Excellent. Not sure what this actually is? All appears good condition wise, the felt is peeling of the bottom, revealing two screws which are not structurally holding anything, and so they must be there for some sort of mounting purpose?

A few very fine scratches to be seen. A bit of fine grime to be found, this wipes off. The print is very clear and precise, it appears slightly faded to some of the letters of Tanunda.
