| Midwestern Pitcher 5.5H X 7 D w/handle. Greenish aquamarine coloration, 24-rib pattern mold construction, bucket form, applied corrugated handle, pontil base. Midwestern 19thC. Probably Zanesville Ohio.
Few early tableware objects can compete with early Zanesville examples in terms of form, clarity of glass and overall aesthetic appeal. This creamer has it all hands down. Beautifully done in gorgeous strong impressed pattern molding. A graceful flowing corrugated handle and perfect curl. Being larger in size just adds to the pleasure of this pitcher. Big deep pontil and crisp in condition except for the most minute little line above the terminal of the handle which is nothing. Rarity must always be considered when dealing with this quality of early American glass . This is the example everyone wants but can never get. The Best!
