This is a bulky item and may need special packing and shipping.
Fine quality box form stereoscope, English circa 1870’s on a turned column and weighted base. It has very attractive burled grain pattern, with a lighter band inlay. The rack and pinion focusing works very smoothly as does the inter-ocular mechanism. Height measures 16.5”. The reflecting mirror under the top lid has a crack and some de-silvering. Since the mirror is original we have resisted the urge to replace it. The mirror can easily be replaced but this is for the new owner to decide.
Attractive Brewster style stereoscope circa 1880’s. Frequently mis-described as Eastlake style, the viewer is actually French in the style of Napoleon III. There is a dry age crack in the black lens surround, overall very good to excellent condition. $ 150*
